Market Update August 1 through August 8th
August 11th, 2008 12:10 PM
The market continues to be slow for the sellers. There are 92 listings on the market in 20171 for sale with 3 that sold this week. There were a total of 6 new homes that came on the market. Again, it is hard to tell if this is a slow August or the market is just slower. August is a huge vacation month. The traffic at the listings still seems to be good with 2 to 3 people coming through each week.

Market Update August 16th to August 23rd

The market is still doing pretty well for the latter part of August. There were 4 new listings in Oak Hill. One of which  was a relist. A total of 85 single family dwellings in Oak Hill - down significantly from last week. There were a total of 8 sales - which is great - 3 of those were foreclosures. Overall a great week. Enjoy the last week of summer.

Market Update August 8th through the 15th
August 17th, 2008 5:20 AM
A much better week for the buyers and sellers - the market looks like it is shaking off some of the August slowness. We have a total of 91 single family homes on the market in Oak Hill which is one less than last week. There were 7 new listings - none of them were relisted homes. A toal of 8 homes sold this week - 3 of which were foreclosures.  Great news so we hope it keeps this up. The buyers will feel much more comfortable buying in this market if the prices would stabilize.

Market Update July 25th through August 1st
August 4th, 2008 3:43 AM
The market is looking a little better this week for stability. There were 9 new listings - 2 of which were foreclosures that came on the market this week.  This is tough - the normal listing has a hard time competing for the buyer with the foreclosures priced 75 to 100,000 less than the market. The foreclosure is not for every buyer due to condition. There were also 2 new listings that were houses that were previously off the market and had come back on. The good news is that 6 sold this week. If we can can continue in this vane, the market will continue to stabillize. There were a total of 92 single family homes in Oak Hill for sale.
