Well you can tell that it was a holiday weekend and the end of August - a mad dash to the beach. Traffic through the listings was down this week. Inventory tumbled even lower. The buyers are going to have a hard time finding good houses to buy if the inventory continues to slip. There are now 76 single family listings in Oak Hill/Herndon down from last week. Most of the reduction was due to sellers taking their homes off the market. Three homes sold - which really is not that bad for a holiday week and the last week of summer before kids start back to school. Two of those homes were on the market 110 days and the other was on 17. September should be an interesting month since the market gets better as we head into Fall.
