Market Update May 4th thru the 11th
May 11th, 2007 2:07 PM
As we enter into another warm weekend, we have 122 single family homes in the Herndon/Oak Hill area. This is a net increase from 116 last week - so we are still seeing an increase in the number of homes on the market. There were 14 new listings since last Friday. A total of 7 homes got contracts - less than the previous week. So we are still seeing an increase in the inventory - a softening of the market. Again, as it has been all along this year, the well priced homes in great condition are commanding good prices. So if you are planning to come onto the market, have a professional real estate agent help you get it on the market in the right shape. You will be rewarded. The key is to price your home correctly up front. Have a great Mother's Day for those hardworking moms out there.

Market Update May 11th thru May 18th

A good week for sellers! There are a net of 115 single family homes in Herndon/ Oak Hill. A total of 8 new homes came on the market - which is lower than last week. Total homes that received contracts were 12 - a great week. The market is holding its own as we finish the Spring market by the end of June. Prices are relatively stable and look to remain that way - so a great time for buyers to be in the market. If you have any specific questions, just post a comment. Have a great NOVA weekend.

Market Update April 27th to May 4th 2007
May 4th, 2007 11:32 PM
Great Week! After a lull, the market seems to be waking up again. We enter this weekend with net active listings numbers for single family dwellings in Herndon/Oak Hill of 116 - up from 111 last week. The inventory is still increasing. We had 17 new listings in the past 7 days versus 13 last week - so a big week for new listings. The best news is that 12 homes sold this week versus 5 the week before - 2 of which were mine - which was even more exciting.  Last year, the market went dead April 1st. It looks like we will make it to June before the summer vacations slow down the market. Buyers are finding good choices in inventory and finding some well priced homes to purchase. Smart sellers are pricing their home to sell. If you are looking for detailed information for your zip code - I am an email away. Have another wonderful Spring weekend.
