The market is looking a little better this week. We have a total of 72 homes on the market in Oak Hill/Herndon - which is still a very low inventory count. There were 4 sales this week - 1 of which was a short sale. There were 5 new listings and 2 of those came on as short sales. Most short sales that get contracts still do not result in an actual sale. They get contracts and then eventually they become available again when the bank does not accept them because the offer is too low. Overall, I think this is one of the better weeks in the last 45 days. Hopefully it keeps up for both buyers and the sellers. It is hard for the buyers to have confidence in a market when it continues to be so unsure of itself.
