What an amazing week with the count down of the federal government's first time and move up buyer credit. Things were crazy trying to get all the things done by the midnight deadline. It was a great week in real estate and I hope it calms down a little but continues to do well into the Spring months. We have 41 single family homes for sale in Oak Hill/Herndon. The inventory dropped from 54 homes for sale to 41 - a huge drop in inventory. The amazing thing is that 21 homes sold this week - seven more than last week. Out of the 21, I sold my listing on Fallon and I bought one for a buyer who called on Wednesday and said that they needed to buy a home by Friday midnight - we were successful - we were in high gear with that midnight cut off and were able to do it. Congrats to the buyers for having to make very fast decisions. There were only 4 new listings last week - a lot less than the week before.
