The market did great this week - even as hot as it was. Homes seem to be staying on the market longer but there are a lot of homes sold this week - terrific week. The market prices are seeming to stay about the same from week to week. Different things that I observed this week. A house that had been on the market for nearly a year sold when it was recently professionally staged. It was professionally painted and "Pottery Type Barn" furniture were put in all rooms and the home sold in 17 days - it was an amazing transformation. I have seen two houses come on the market that sold approximately the same time last year in Spring. One is a listing I have. We have had to price the home about about $22,000 today below what they bought it for a year ago in 2010 - which seems to be about what the drop has been on average in the 350 to 700 range. Another listing I had sold on John Milton last year for $527,500 came on the market recently at $570,000 about 14 days ago and now is at $560,000. It will be interesting to see what they sell for.
