The market did pretty well through the Holidays – better than in years past. It is great to be at the start of January and will be interesting to see where the market goes this year. The market is quiet as far as new listings coming on the market. The market is still doing well with the number of listings selling each week through December. I would expect to have a good Spring market based on the selling numbers in December. Hard to predict but hindsight will tell us. We have 26 single family homes on the market. We have only 27 single family homes for sale in Oak Hill/Herndon. Some houses that have been on the market over 120 days sold this week. We had 5 homes sell this week. It seems homes are still selling but the time on the market has increased dramatically and the prices seem to be depressed – which is to be expected this time of the year. Hopefully, we will have a stable 2012!
